About Me

Hi, I'm Jacqui! I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio and a Certified Thanatologist (expertise in death, dying and bereavement). I completed my BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware. I received my MSW from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice.

My post-graduate work includes training with The Center for Cognitive Therapy, Certification in Thanatology through the Association of Death Education, 8-week Mindfulness-based stress reduction course with the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness, and Postpartum Support International's Perinatal Mental Health 2-Day Certificate Course.

My career started in various areas of the social and criminal justice field. I transitioned into working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders (SUD) and receiving medication management within a recovery oriented facility. I found my true passion working as a bereavement counselor for seven years at a non-profit Organ Procurement Agency.

I have had the opportunity to present at several national conferences including Association of Death Education and Association of Organ Procurement Organization on topics such as survivor's guilt and the unique grief experiences associated with a SUD related death. Additionally, I have participated in many hospital sponsored Schwartz Rounds as a panelist. I am a member of the Association of Death Education (ADEC) and Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work (PSCSW).

I am constantly humbled by the vulnerability, resilience, hope, and growth demonstrated by my clients. I feel privileged to be a part of the therapeutic process.

I love spending time with my partner, son, and extended family, cuddling my two cats, eating delicious food, and enjoying the outdoors.
